At last we are up and running! After a long haul of fund raising, we have now completed our first outing with great success!
A group of us (some from Plymouth and some from Polperro) went to Wadebridge and joined the Camel Trail and after an initial training period for some we set off towards Padstow at about 10.30 and enjoyed the scenery and wildlife along the way: see the photos. We of course joined the hundreds of others that were also either cycling or just walking the Camel Trail.
The weather was great with loads of sunshine and the scenery was enjoyable and everyone enjoyed it; the other users were so friendly, all greeting us with a smart "Hello". We later had some lunch and of course tea or coffee, whichever was preferred and had a good chat about what we had seen along the route.
The trip is about 90 minutes each way and with a short stop in Padstow it is about four hours in total. Taking into consideration travelling time and a short training period, the whole day is about six and a half hours ... so a good day out.
